The Cloud-based Server Manager allows you to perform Scheduled Server Restarts, at your configured interval. The schedule can be hours apart - or days apart, and will persist despite temporary disconnections from the CBSM.
WARNING: This feature ONLY shutsdown the game server. It does NOT turn it back at on again. In order to use this function, a third party process is required for turning the game back on - this is typically provided by most commercial hosts. If you are not sure, simply issue a 'shutdown' command on your game server, and see if it comes back on it's own within a minute or two: if it requires you to manually turn it back on, you cannot yet use this function and must first consult your server provider.
Scheduled Server Restart Commands:
- /next reboot - Displays time until next reboot
- /cancel reboot - Cancels the scheduled reboot, and resets the timer
Requires 'Moderator - Cancel Automated Reboot' permission
Scheduled Server Restart Configuration:
The feature has only one setting -- which is the rebooting interval, in minutes. To reboot once per day, you would provide a value of 1440. To reboot once every 3 hours, you would provide a value of 180.
When the impending reboot is within ~30 minutes, it will announce this fact every ~5 minutes, to allow players a chance to clear their inventories and prepare. At this time, neither the message displayed, nor the intervals of the reminders, are configurable.
The 'interval' of scheduled server reboots is found within the CBSM Server Configurations, on the 'General Settings' tab (default), under the 'Server Settings' section, top row. If the setting is set to 0 (default), no scheduled reboots will occur.
Note: If you change the schedule's interval - it will not take place until the current schedule has completed. This can be skipped by running the /cancel reboot command after making the change, and having your settings /refresh
